PIED-BILLED GREBE (Podilymbus podiceps) Diving Birds - these are really tough to get a good image of. They are very shy and I actually got this close because it was a cold, cloudy day and I think that they were just too cold to move around a lot.

December 2011: Here are some new images testing my new Canon PowerShot SX230 HS. I may be going to Europe next year and want to make sure I am happy with what it can do. So far...delighted! Excellent low light ability that exceeds my Canon 30D. Most of these images were taken on Market Street.
